Our Story
BioWorks Energy takes ordinary garbage, and converts it into low-cost, renewable energy. We specialize in anaerobic digestion for industrial, municipal, and agricultural waste projects.
What does that mean? We take the ordinary poop that gets flushed down a toilet, add food waste, healthy bacteria , and use science to convert that poop into a renewable natural gas – called biogas.
We use that gas top produce low-cost, renewable, sustainable electricity and or vehicle fuel. It’s a low-emissions process and completely renewable.
As an example, the City of Flint, Michigan buys our electricity at a discount which runs their waste treatment process. It’s a win/win.
We also collect food waste from different food processors, grocery stores and event centers. Rather than sitting untouched in a landfill, the waste we collect is converted into clean, renewable fuel.
